These devices differ from conventional EMRs both externally and in design. The lining of such devices is made of wear-resistant polymer, and instead of a single pair of electrodes located in one plane, two pairs of electrodes are installed crosswise. The electrodes are made of high-quality stainless steel with a tungsten carbide coating. To provide a reference (signal) ground, grounding rings are installed, which also partially serve as additional protection for the lining.
The electronic part of these devices is built on the basis of a rather massive magnetic system, which gives the device, in addition to extra vibration resistance, the ability to deliver a high level of magnetic induction with the possibility of its operational adjustment. The ability to change the excitation frequency of the magnetic system and the special shape of the excitation signal allow tuning the operation of the SLURRY MAG flowmeter’s magnetic system to work with various types of slurries (pulp, coal, ore, etc.), and the digital filter system allows separating the useful signal from parasitic noise components caused by the movement of abrasive slurry through the measuring diameter.
These flowmeters are supplied under the import substitution program to one of the Mining and Processing Complexes of the Russian Federation as part of the scheduled preventive replacement of imported equipment that has reached its planned service life.
