Description

The piezoresistive high-temperature pressure sensor 35X HTC can operate at temperatures up to 300°C. Pressure acts on a flat diaphragm and is then transmitted through an oil-filled capillary to the silicon sensing element. The capillary is designed as a spiral and functions as a radiator. When the measured medium reaches the diaphragm at a temperature of 300°C, the temperature of the sensing element increases only up to 100°C. The built-in electronics allow obtaining an amplified output signal in current or voltage proportional to the pressure. For extremely aggressive media, KELLER offers various diaphragm material options.

Digital output signal of the transmitters

The basis of this transmitter is a stable piezoresistive sensor with the latest XEMICS microprocessor with an integrated 16-bit A/D converter. Temperature fluctuations and sensor nonlinearity are compensated by mathematical algorithms. Using the READ30 program and the KELLER cable K-107, the pressure transmitter can be connected to a laptop or computer. The READ30 program also allows reading data and graphically displaying it on a PC. Up to 128 transmitters can be connected into a single bus system.

Analog output signal of the transmitters

The integrated XEMICS processor can operate as a digital/analog D/A converter, 16-bit, for output signals 4…20 mA or 0…10 V. The signal frequency is 400 Hz. For all analog pressure transmitters, a digital output signal is available.

Programming

Using the KELLER READ30 program, PROG 30 software, RS485 converter (e.g., K102 or K107), and a PC, it is possible to display pressure, change units of measurement, and adjust zero. It is also possible to set any values within the measured range for analog output signals.

By default, sensors have a digital RS485 output but can also be equipped with an analog output of choice: 4…20 mA / 0…10 V. Through the digital output from the sensor, in addition to the pressure signal, a temperature signal from the sensor can be read, which can be useful for static processes.
