Description
The 35X HT and 35X HTT sensors are piezoresistive pressure transducers for bioreactors and autoclaves. These devices, which use special electronics in their housings, can operate indefinitely at temperatures up to 150°C. The transducers are available in versions for measuring absolute and relative pressures with analog output signals in current or voltage. The pressure sensor of the device is a highly sensitive silicon microchip. An independent temperature sensor is also integrated into the design.
Digital output signal of the transducers
The basis of this transducer is a stable piezoresistive sensor with the latest XEMICS microprocessor with an integrated 16-bit analog-to-digital converter. Temperature fluctuations and sensor nonlinearity are compensated by mathematical algorithms. Using the READ30 program and the KELLER cable K-107, the pressure transducer can be connected to a laptop or computer. The READ30 program also allows reading data and displaying it graphically on a PC. Up to 128 transducers can be connected into a single bus system.
Analog output signal of the transducers
The integrated XEMICS processor can operate as a 16-bit digital-to-analog converter for output signals of 4…20 mA or 0…10 V. The output signal frequency is 100 Hz (can be adjusted). The maximum accuracy of the sensors is 0.05 %FS. A digital output signal is available for all analog pressure transducers.
Programming
Using the KELLER READ30 program, PROG 30 software, RS485 converter (e.g., K102, K104, or K107), and a PC, you can display pressure, change units of measurement, and adjust zero. It is also possible to set any values within the measured range for analog output signals.
By default, the sensors have a digital RS485 output but can also be equipped with an analog output of choice: 4…20 mA / 0…10 V. Through the digital output, in addition to the pressure signal, the temperature signal from the sensor can be read, which can be useful for static processes.
