Compressed air is used in almost all industries. The enterprise's compressed air system includes one or more compressor units, a main line, and distribution systems with fittings. The production of compressed air, which according to various estimates accounts for up to 10% of total consumption, is one of the main consumers of electricity. At the same time, losses of compressed air from its source to the end user reach 25-30%. Therefore, the efficient use of compressed air is one of the most important tools for energy saving. Mainly, savings are achieved by eliminating leaks and selecting the correct pipe diameters to minimize pressure losses.
Compressed Air Instrumentation and Control
To achieve this, it is necessary to monitor the air flow and pressure in the pneumatic system. On the main line, as well as before each consumer, compressed air flow sensors and pressure sensors are installed. Readings from these devices are sent to special data loggers that process this data for subsequent unloading and analysis.
Ultrasonic detectors are used to locate specific leak points, allowing quick detection of leaks invisible to the naked eye and prompt elimination.
