Description
VA40 – vortex flowmeter for compressed air and gases.
The device can measure the flow of both single-component gases (air, nitrogen, oxygen, methane, natural gas, ammonia, argon, carbon monoxide, superheated steam, etc.) and their mixtures.
VA40 starts measuring flow at a flow velocity of 0.5 m/s, which is an extremely low activation threshold for vortex flowmeters. Thus, the dynamic measurement range of this device is 1:80.
The main advantage of this device is its ability to be used in contaminated environments. The dust content in the measured gas not only does not cause the device to fail but also does not affect the measurement results. Additionally, a small amount of condensate in the medium also does not affect the device's operation.
The flowmeter has no moving parts, is extremely wear-resistant, and corrosion-resistant. All this makes it highly reliable and allows it to operate stably even in adverse conditions.
The device can be used to measure gas flow in various technological processes: for example, to measure air flow in activated sludge water treatment processes, air flow entering an engine, natural gas flow, exhaust gases, process gases, biogas, flare gas, etc.
VA40 flowmeters are available in both standard and explosion-proof versions.
