Leak Detector — LD 450

Description

When gas leaks through holes in the pipeline (for example, with non-tight threaded connections, corrosion, etc.), noises occur in the ultrasonic range. With the LD 450 leak detector, even the smallest leaks that are inaudible to the human ear and invisible due to their size can be detected from several meters away. The LD 450 converts the ultrasonic signal into frequencies that can be perceived by the human ear. Convenient soundproof headphones allow leak detection in extremely noisy environments.

The LD 450 leak detector is an improved version of the proven LD 300 and LD 400 devices, differing from them by an enhanced sensor, which ensures an accurate and easy leak detection process. With the built-in laser pointer and guide tube, the leak location can be determined with maximum precision.

Applications

Leak detection in:

• pipelines with compressed air, various gases, steam
• door seals

Thanks to the special design of the acoustic tube, better unification of sound waves is achieved. The tube acts as a directional microphone, suppressing extraneous noise and facilitating accurate leak location even in hard-to-reach places.

The acoustic tube is designed so as not to interfere with the simultaneous use of the laser pointer.

The easy-to-use ultrasonic generator is suitable for leak detection even in systems that are not under pressure. The generator is positioned so that the sound reaches the pipeline system. The ultrasonic signal passes through the tiniest holes, which are then detected using the LD 450.
