Description
The SCHMIDT® IL series is the perfect solution for demanding and heavy industrial applications. The devices are suitable for a wide range of uses, such as monitoring compressed air and gases in industrial burners, determining the flow of air and gases, measuring compressed air consumption, and measuring compressed air flow in pneumatic systems. In addition to flow measurement, the temperature of the medium is determined in the range from -20 °C to +60 °C.
The operation of the SCHMIDT® IL series flow meters is based on a reliable and time-tested thermal anemometric principle of 4-point measurement. Thanks to the radial arrangement of the four measuring points, the new device allows for stable and accurate readings even in complex pipeline sections (in short and curved pipeline sections). The MPM technology enables flow measurement in sections where a flow meter with another measurement principle would not work correctly. This solution helps avoid unnecessary costs for adapting the pipeline to the flow meter's requirements.
The SCHMIDT® IL series flow meters are equipped with four two-color LED indicators that allow monitoring of current flow information as well as device status information. Measured flow and temperature values are output through two independent outputs. An additional input allows connecting auxiliary equipment to the sensor to expand the device's capabilities.
Optionally, the flow meters are supplied with an additional extended measuring section. Installation of the device is very simple: it only requires cutting the sensor into the pipeline and making the electrical connection. The flow meters operate without any moving parts, and the measurement principle used eliminates drift or wear, which reduces maintenance costs to a minimum.
