Description
Piezo-resistive pressure sensors are manufactured using the latest KELLER automatic soldering technology, which allows for the production of high-quality sensors in large quantities at a low cost. This technology eliminates corrosion at connection points and gaps, as the design of the connecting fitting contains no seals or O-rings. In the brass sensor series (Series 6 M), a steel insert and nickel membrane are placed inside a brass housing. In the stainless steel version (Series 6S), all components are made of stainless steel (AISI 316 L). The membrane with the silicon sensing element and output contacts is welded to the steel housing.
The sensors are ideal for manufacturing pressure transducers, pressure switches, or digital pressure measuring instruments. The sensors are available in three basic versions:
6M: Brass version, lowest cost, accuracy 1 %FS. Ranges: from 0...5 to 0…200 bar
6S: Stainless steel, accuracy 0.5 %FS. Ranges: from 0...0.3 to 0…1000 bar
Series 6 and 6 M are low-cost sensors for OEM use. Sensors are tested during production but supplied without a calibration certificate. Series 6 ST undergoes full test cycles and is supplied with a calibration certificate containing data on linearity, sensitivity, zero, temperature coefficients in the range 0…50°C, and values of compensation resistors (Resistors are not included in the delivery).
