Ultrastable pressure sensor — Series 10

Description

The 10 series sensors cover all pressure ranges from 0...100 mbar to 0...1000 bar.

Production of these series began more than 30 years ago, and they have been top-level in the KELLER lineup from the very start. These sensors are supplied with an engraved serial number and signal output wires. Tens of millions of these sensors are used worldwide in various applications. The main fields for this lineup are precise level measurement, pneumatics, hydraulics, aviation applications, and more.

A highly sensitive piezoresistive silicon chip is used as the sensing element. The chip is protected from the external environment by a stainless steel separating membrane. The space between the chip and the membrane is filled with silicone oil to transmit pressure to the sensing element. All housing components are made of 316 L stainless steel. The fully welded design undergoes vacuum testing for tightness. Structural strength: The piezoresistive chip immersed in oil is welded to the 316 L stainless steel housing. High sensitivity: A nominal signal of 200 mV is obtained at a supply current of 1 mA for standard pressure ranges above 2 bar.

Flexibility of versions: Absolute, gauge, vacuum, barometric, and differential pressure versions. 18 nominal ranges from 0.1 to 1000 bar. Various housing materials (Hastelloy, Platinum, Inconel, Monel, etc.). Different filling options (olive oil, high temperature, etc.)

Quality: Each sensor undergoes a full range of tests both under normal conditions and for temperature characteristic verification, and is supplied with an individual calibration certificate containing characteristics and test results. Special tests can be performed upon customer request.

The 10 series can also be supplied with laser welding of the membrane (see description 3 L - 10 L). The new laser welding technology improves corrosion resistance while maintaining the stability of characteristics and quality for which Keller is known worldwide.
