Description
The SS 20.415 LED sensor is designed to monitor the condition of laminar flows in clean rooms. The purpose of directed air flows in clean rooms is to protect products from contamination and eliminate unwanted particles.
According to the EN ISO 14644 - 3 standard, air flow velocity measurement is carried out at a distance of about 150-300 mm below the front surface of the filter. For ceiling or wall mounting, SCHMIDT® SS 20.415 LED sensors are supplied with a special set of fasteners for use in clean rooms. The compact size of the device, with all electronic components integrated into a small probe, helps maintain a low turbulence flow condition. For use in supply air systems, there is an option for simultaneous flow direction detection by the SS 20.415 LED sensor, which can be especially useful in case of possible reverse flow.
One of the features of the sensors is compensation and calibration in the new "vertically directed flow chamber." This allows achieving higher accuracy levels. The reference measurement system used is the laser Doppler anemometry (LDA) method. Upon request, sensors are additionally supplied with a high-precision calibration system, which provides even higher accuracy by using a greater number of calibration points, and also outputs an ISO report with specified target and actual values. Calibration can be repeated based on user-defined technical specifications.
Special mounting options simplify installation in clean rooms, and convenient fasteners allow easy and quick replacement.
