IZMERKON RL 37 — radar level meter for precise measurement of bulk and liquid levels

The company «Izmerkon» announces the start of sales of a new high-precision device — a radar level meter IZMERKON RL 37. The device, developed using advanced millimeter-wave technology, is designed for incredibly accurate and stable level measurements of liquid and bulk media in a wide range of industrial conditions.

The level meter uses a modern frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) method in the high-frequency range of 77–81 GHz. This solution has enabled unique technical characteristics and opens new possibilities for automating technological processes.

Key advantages of IZMERKON RL 37

• Millimeter accuracy and compactness
  Measurement error is only ±2 mm with a measurement range up to 60 m (can be used for metrological purposes). The miniature housing (diameter 97 mm) is based on an in-house radio frequency chip.
• Operation in extreme conditions
  The high-frequency signal 77–81 GHz (beam angle ±2.9°) confidently penetrates dust, works effectively in tanks with complex internal structures, and operates with media of low dielectric permittivity (ε > 1.5). The PTFE antenna is resistant to condensation, process temperature up to +200°C.
• Minimal blind zone and flexible installation
  Only 0.2 m "dead" zone — ideal for small tanks. Standard G2" connection, flange versions available on request.
• Modern interfaces and safety
  Supports two-wire 4…20 mA connection, HART, RS485/Modbus, and optional Bluetooth. Protection rating IP67, explosion-proof design Exd II CT6Gb.

Where is it used?

IZMERKON RL 37 is successfully used:

• With solid bulk materials: silo towers, bunkers, containers for cement, grain, plastic — the narrow beam eliminates interference from walls and dust.
• In liquid storage tanks: including large tanks for water, petroleum products, chemicals, as well as flotation tanks and settlers.
• In complex media: bitumen production, wastewater — the PTFE antenna is resistant to adhesion, condensation, and high temperatures (up to +200 °C).
