Level measurement using a remote transmitter is practical not only for hazard detection but also for measuring fill levels. Take pubs and bars, for example, where an untimely empty beer tank can cause significant losses to the establishment.
Large pubs usually have 2 large beer tanks (in a specially equipped room), each holding 500-1000 liters. The average consumption of two such tanks is 2 weeks. Most often, the level is checked by the establishment's staff according to a set schedule. The accuracy of such checks leaves much to be desired, and during the peak season, when the establishment is overloaded with visitors, such checks may not be conducted at all.
With its new M2M technology (machine-to-machine connection), Keller offers to eliminate the human factor in level measurement. In this application, two pressure sensors work at the core of the solution for measuring the liquid level in the tank and sending a warning message to the establishment owner and beer supplier by email via the remote transmitter GSM-2, mobile phone, or internet. The beer supplier automatically sends an offer that the pub simply needs to confirm.

This automated "smart" solution benefits all participants in the process:
- Pub owners can avoid worrying about sudden emptying of beer tanks
- Pub staff working hours can be allocated more efficiently (since no personnel need to be assigned to monitor beer tank levels)
- Any inaccuracies in order volume for suppliers are eliminated, as the human factor is absent
- The time required to place an order is reduced
- Thanks to sensor information, suppliers can optimize logistics (usually, in case of urgent orders, drivers depart urgently without full loads, which can lead to losses)
