The Keller company, founded in 1974 in Switzerland, is the largest manufacturer of overpressure sensors in Europe. Thanks to the timely creation and implementation of an advanced piezoresistive sensor, Keller is today the main innovator and leader in pressure measurement technologies. A key feature of the company is that “Keller AG” focuses all its efforts and ideas on control and measuring instruments, without trying to cover everything. Today, 5 Swiss factories produce 1,000,000 pressure sensors per year, meeting the needs of even the largest consumers. Notably, a quarter of the sensors produced are supplied to other manufacturers of pressure measuring instruments.
An overpressure sensor is a measuring instrument that has a separating diaphragm for contact with the measured medium, and the pressure exerted on the diaphragm, through oil filling, transmits the pressure to a silicon piezoresistive crystal. The pressure value is determined by the change in the bridge resistance. The deformation of the electrical signal is the basis of the piezometric technology developed by Hans W. Keller in 1973.
Key Features of Keller Overpressure Sensors
Compact design and various structural versions allow the overpressure sensor to be installed anywhere necessary without dismantling large structures. The customer can independently “assemble” the overpressure sensor depending on the required accuracy, design, output signal, threaded connection, and even the material from which the pressure sensor and cable, if needed, will be made.
The Keller 21Y pressure sensor has high accuracy and reliability, and it is always available to the customer.
