Hydrostatic water level sensors, Hydrostatic level meter

Hydrostatic pressure sensors allow for highly accurate continuous measurement of underground and surface water levels, as well as liquid levels in tanks.

The sensors are submerged in water, and the liquid level is determined by the pressure of the liquid column on the measuring membrane. The principle is based on the proportionality law between the height of the liquid column and the hydrostatic pressure of this column: P = ρ*g*h, where P — hydrostatic pressure of the liquid column, g = 9.8 m/s² — acceleration due to gravity, ρ — liquid density.

Position of hydrostatic level sensors

According to Pascal's law, all liquids and gases transmit the pressure applied to them equally in all directions, so we can position our hydrostatic level sensor both vertically and horizontally.

Features of Keller hydrostatic pressure sensors

The sensors have a compact design (min. diameter 16mm). To compensate for changes in atmospheric pressure, a barometric pressure sensor on the surface or a special cable with a capillary (breathing) tube is used. The sensors use an RS485 interface, which allows for signal transmission of level and temperature with high noise immunity. Versions with low power consumption (supply voltage 3.5V) are ideal for use in autonomous systems.

Sensor model 26 Y
Housing diameter 20 mm
Output signal 4…20mA; 0…10V
Level transmitters of the 26Y series have high accuracy indicators while remaining affordable for most consumers.

Sensor model 25 Y
Insertion hydrostatic level sensor
Output signal 4…20mA; 0…5V; 0…10V
The 23 (S)Y/25 Y series has excellent compatibility due to its increased resistance to electromagnetic fields. According to international CE standards, the sensors can be used for level fields 10.
Sensor model 36 XW
Housing diameter 22 mm
Output signal 4…20mA; RS485
Sensors of this series have exceptionally high measurement accuracy, signal noise immunity, and low power consumption. Features include programmable measurement range, zero adjustment, and built-in output relay.
Sensor model 36 XS
Housing diameter 16 mm
Output signal 4…20mA; RS485
The 36XS level transmitter is a full analogue of the previous series sensor but has better dimensions for installation in piezometer tubes.
Sensor model 36KyX
Housing diameter 32 mm
Output signal 4…20mA; RS485
Sensors of this type are designed for use in aggressive acidic environments and brines. They have all the characteristics of the 36XW series sensors.
Sensor model 46X
Housing diameter 38 mm
Output signal 4…20mA; RS485
Sensors of the 46x series are equipped with high-precision ceramic sensors. Designed for small measurement ranges (up to 3 meters of water column). Explosion-proof versions are available.
CASTELLO model
Indicator for digital and analog sensors with liquid level recalculation (including under excess pressure) in tanks of complex geometric shapes.
