
Microbiological analysis is an important component of the biogas production process. In this case, combined Keller pressure and temperature sensors are used.
Various agricultural and livestock research institutes, among other things, study the influence of activating or toxic substances on the biogas production process. Unlike the continuous flow process of a biogas plant, these studies are conducted periodically. A special system was developed for these studies, based on special combined Keller pressure sensors.
Measurement of Microorganism Activity
The most important aspect of this type of research is temperature control. To ensure the reliability of this process, the sensor is fully immersed in the liquid medium. Within this container, there are many measurement points arranged to allow highly accurate determination of the necessary information. As for measuring microorganism activity, it is determined by continuous biogas production, recording all information thanks to Keller pressure sensors.
Combined Sensors
A significant advantage of combined pressure and temperature sensors is that data from both processes can be obtained through a single output port. The temperature sensor is immersed in the medium and provides a measurement range at temperatures from -25...+50°C. All connections have a solid metal welded construction and meet IP68 protection class. This advantage allows their use not only in industrial production but also in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Other typical applications for our sensors include mechanical engineering, test benches, various environmental technologies, and shipbuilding. These sensors are used in industrial biogas plants to determine the level of gas filling. We also recommend biogas pressure sensors and biotechnology pressure sensors with threaded connections and flat membranes.
The 35HTT sensor is designed for temperatures up to 150°C, while the 35X HTC sensor is ideal for technological processes requiring pressure measurements at high temperatures up to 300°C.
