Before installing a new device for pressure measurement (sensor, manometer, etc.) there is a very widespread dubious tradition of «checking its operability»: blowing into it or tapping the membrane with a finger, and so on.
As in the process of operation, after some time, there arises a need to verify the correctness of the displayed values within the declared permissible error or to adjust the measuring instrument, to correct the scale values, in other words, to perform calibration. And who knows what else…
In essence, calibration is the same as verification. When performing calibration of measuring instruments, programs, methods, and reference standards are also used, with the help of which a series of operations are performed to determine the actual values of the metrological characteristics of the measuring instruments.
The difference between calibration and verification is that calibration can be performed by legal entities and individual entrepreneurs independently for their own purposes or as a service on order, while verification can only be carried out by organizations (laboratories) accredited in the field of ensuring the uniformity of measurements. The result of verification is documented by a verification certificate or (and) a stamp applied to the measuring instrument. At the same time, without a certificate of type approval of the measuring instrument (metrological certificate), verification of the instrument is not possible, but calibration is allowed.
Manual Test Pumps
At the same time, for any person performing such a procedure, the task arises to simultaneously apply pressure to both the calibrated and the reference instruments in order to compare their displayed values by the comparison method. And often, such work needs to be carried out directly at production sites, at the places where the calibrated instruments are used. For these purposes, IZMERKON offers calibration of sensors and manometers (in various ranges) manufactured in Germany and Switzerland. To create pressure in ranges from minus 1 bar to 25 bar, up to 40 bar or up to 60 bar, use manual pneumatic pumps:
KP-25 and KP-40:
LPP-60T (desktop version):
For high ranges (up to 1000 bar) manual hydraulic pumps are ideal:
All these pumps can simultaneously connect two instruments – the calibrated one, for example high-precision pressure sensor 33X and a reference one, such as high-precision digital manometer LEX 1, and apply the required pressure. The pumps are convenient to carry and store in special plastic cases. If necessary, sets of adapters can be supplied for connecting sensors with different thread sizes.

In addition to manual portable pumps, LLC «Measurement and Control» offers stationary pressure generators, including deadweight testers.
