Shipment of IZMERKON EM 470 Devices

Good day, dear colleagues.

Today we had another shipment of IZMERKON EM 470 devices.

It is notable because these are electromagnetic flowmeters DN15, which will help the Russian Academy of Sciences to study and subsequently monitor the state of water resources in the Russian Federation.

The devices themselves are not unique, as this is not a custom order that can be placed at our enterprise; these are quite standard serial products.

However, they have several interesting features that distinguish them from standard products.

One of these is not immediately obvious, but these flowmeters are equipped with a next-generation transmitter. Its modular design allows for a fairly wide range of option sets, i.e., during the production of the device, a modular package of serial electronic boards is installed in the transmitter housing, which forms the optional component of the IZMERKON EM 470.

By the way, during the development of the updated transmitter, the IZMERKON engineering department took into account and implemented in hardware a frequent request from our customers – a simple budget electromagnetic flowmeter without an LCD, with two blind covers on the electronics compartment and a single pulse output.

Returning to the flowmeters that will work for the benefit of Russian science, I want to note that they are equipped with stainless steel lining protection. The protective rings can also serve as grounding rings to provide so-called "reference grounding." This is definitely necessary when installing the device on polymer pipes or in cases of low electrical conductivity of the medium. Naturally, this option is not exclusive; many manufacturers also offer similar parts as additional equipment, but unlike many manufacturers, IZMERKON installs universal rings directly at the enterprise, which eliminates poor centering and also frees the customer from purchasing an additional gasket that must be installed between the device lining and the grounding ring.

Among additional pleasant bonuses, I can note that the magnetic systems of IZMERKON flowmeters are designed and assembled so well that with a declared accuracy of 0.5%, their actual calibration shows almost reference values. In fact, this is one of the reasons why EM 470 was chosen by RAS specialists for use in research work funded by the government.
