Senseair participates in the development of a drone for measuring air parameters

About one third of Senseair's staff are engaged in scientific research and development, as well as advanced manufacturing technologies. The highest qualification of the company's employees is confirmed by the fact that these employees are highly valued as consultants in external projects. One of them is the FLAIR project.
Air pollution emitted by anthropogenic and/or natural sources is a significant risk factor for a number of serious diseases such as lung cancer and strokes. According to the WHO report of 2014, air pollution in 2012 caused the death of 7 million people worldwide. In Europe, air pollution is estimated to cause more than 300,000 premature deaths annually. The total annual economic cost of health impacts related to air pollution is estimated to exceed 1.5 trillion USD.

FLAIR contributes to creating a safer environment by providing detailed air quality data, for example, around industrial infrastructure, highways, and ships or in the event of catastrophic events such as fires, volcanic eruptions, or chemical accidents.

Concept: a high-performance air sampling sensor based on the latest photonic technology is mounted on an unmanned aerial vehicle for highly sensitive and high-precision (ppbv) air quality measurement.

Within the FLAIR project, SenseAir intends to implement its existing high-performance sensor multi-pass absorption cell technology to measure molecular particles in exhaled air with sub-ppm sensitivity. Special attention will be paid to integrating the high-performance multi-pass cell into the overall optical and gas sampling system to ensure a stable and structurally robust solution that will lead to maximum user convenience. The prototype of the optical elements will be developed with the cost of inexpensive series production in mind, paving the way for a future product as a subsequent outcome of this project.

You can find Senseair products in our catalog, in the sections "CO2 Sensors", "CO2 Detectors", "Portable CO2 Sensors".
