The differential pressure transmitter IZMERKON-DD-33 is a reliable and highly accurate device for measuring the pressure difference between two points. The sensor receives two pressures, measures the difference, and converts it into an electrical signal, such as 4-20 mA or digital. This allows it to be integrated into automation systems.
Operating principle:
The transmitter has two chambers connected to the pressure measurement points (P1 and P2).
The pressure difference (ΔP = P1 – P2) acts on the sensitive element (membrane or capacitive sensor).
The physical pressure on the element is converted into an electrical signal (e.g., 4–20 mA, HART, 0.5…4.5 V, 0…10 V) or digital output. The signal is transmitted to the control system for process automation.
Main application areas of the transmitter:
- Measurement of liquid or gas flow
According to Bernoulli's principle, when the pipeline narrows using a diaphragm, nozzle, or Venturi tube, a pressure drop proportional to the flow velocity occurs. The differential pressure transmitter measures this difference and allows flow calculation.
- Liquid level control in tanks
In closed containers (e.g., with chemicals or petroleum products), the liquid level is determined by the pressure difference between the upper and lower points of the tank. This is especially important for aggressive or volatile media.
- Monitoring the condition of filters and valves
Clogging of filters or valve malfunctions lead to an increase in pressure drop. The differential pressure transmitter signals the need for maintenance, preventing accidents.
- Ventilation and air conditioning systems
Pressure control in air ducts to maintain efficient air circulation and system balancing.
- Chemical and oil & gas industry
Process control in reactors, pipelines, and separators where precise pressure drop control is critical.
- Energy sector
Monitoring the operation of boilers, turbines, and heat exchangers.
Advantages of IZMERKON-DD-33:
- High measurement accuracy: ensures reliable pressure drop control even in critical processes.
- Versatility: suitable for use in various industries, including oil & gas, chemical, energy, and pharmaceutical sectors.
- Ease of installation and configuration: the device easily integrates into existing automation systems.
- Reliability: resistance to vibrations, temperature fluctuations, and aggressive environments.
